Clear communication on sustainability is of great importance to us. That’s why we’re excited to announce that the renewed EPD’s (Environmental Product Declarations) of our flooring have been published.
What is an EPD?
An EPD shares information on a product, its raw materials, and its environmental footprint. It is a transparent document that takes the full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of a product into account.
Third-party verified & published EPD documents are based on international (ISO 14025) and European (EN 15804) standards.
Who are EPD’s for?
An EPD allows architects, designers and engineers to compare different products and their environmental impacts.
Why are they important?
As a manufacturer, we are increasingly being held accountable for our environmental impacts. Through an EPD we can show our efforts and growth in reducing our impact and emissions over the years.
Reducing our CO₂ emissions
2TEC2’s SonoFeltTM 19 dB has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 6.02 kg CO₂/m² (*). Compared with our previous standard product, that’s an improvement of 1.07 kg CO₂/m²!
However, our journey does not end here. We will continue to reduce the environmental impact of our flooring even more.
